Imagine you buy a 30 second stock music track for a video with a 30 second voice over. That may seem like a perfect fit, but at the end of the day it turns out it isn’t. Discover the three reasons why in this video:
The 30 second music track is of course too short. But there are other reasons why such a music track won’t work. Discover the three reasons why in this video.
Firstly, a 30 second version is almost impossible to cut. In addition, a music track often consists of extra seconds; the ending. So when buying a 30 second music track, you will not receive 30 seconds of only music. There is also a chance that the producer edited the short track, so the music will overlap. In this way, it is not possible to edit the short track yourself; you will definitely hear it.
Secondly, there is a chance that the script doesn’t match the build-up. The chance that your short track fits with the AIDA model is very small.
And last but not least, there will be no opportunity to cherry pick. When using a longer track, you can decide which pieces are going to be used. You can make for example the awareness a little longer, and the action a little shorter. Decide yourself!
