Raymi Sambo (1971) is a versatile Dutch actor, director, writer and producer. He played parts in many TV series like O Mijn Hemel, Spangas, All Stars, Zoop, Het Klokhuis and Toen was geluk heel gewoon. In the cinema he’s been seen in All Stars, Don, Cheese, De Tussentijd and the telefilm Taiki, een Japanse wolf. He presented the TV shows Willem Wever, FF zoeken and Met vlag en Wimpel. Raymi has an impressive list of theatre productions, he acted in like Amandla! Mandela, Verhalen voor een Warme Lentenacht, Rome & Juli's Posse, De Arabier van Amsterdam, MC Shake and Poz Paradise. He is the artistic director of theatre group V.I.G. and created the succesfull plays Mijn (Bij)Vrouw, Aan Niets Overleden, Op zoek naar Oom Tom, HUID! and F*ck the Police. As a movie director, Raymi directed the controversial short Premier, The Neighbourhood and Pianissimo. He also directed the movie version of his theatre production Aan Niets Overleden.
Raymi recently did voice over work for the Museumvereniging and for the touristbureau of Curaçao. He is a native Dutch speaker as well as Papiamentu. (foto: Marjolein Annegarn)
