About the Canadian English language
Canadian-English is the official language of cover 15 million Canadians. In addition, it’s spoken as second language by at least 7 million French Canadian natives. Even though the Canadian variety of English has a lot of common ground with both British and American, a lot of distinctions are made as well.
The most straightforward unique Canadian English feature is the accent. Canadians speak with an accent which is often dubbed as ‘Mid Atlantic’ or ‘Neutral English’, since Canadians speak with a relatively low level of accent. In addition, there are differences in spelling, in which some rules are drawn from American, and others from British. These differences have their origins in Canada’s trade history.
Our Canadian-English speaking voices can be booked for many different types of productions including movie trailers, corporate video, e-learnings, radio commercials, TV-commercials and voice response messages.
In Russia a Canadian-English voiceover is called a “Канадско-английский голос”, in Portugal people talk about a “Entrevista canadense-inglesa” and in Poland it’s referred to as a “Kanadyjsko-angielski głos”.
